BOTANICS ORGANIC FACIAL OIL - Review

Facial Oil treatments continue being an essential part of beauty routine for most. You can use them to improve the condition of your skin, add them to your moisturiser, use them as a makeup remover or as a makeup primer. While there are many high end brands that have come out with their own amazing facial oils, today I'm going to talk about Boot's Botanics Organic Facial Oil. This little gem has been around for some time and is quiet popular since it's mostly out of stock at Boots and online. It's 100% organic and contains rosehip oil for extra nourishment.

PRODUCT

This oil has a very light feel on the skin, once you put it on it melts right away and doesn't feel oily at all. It smells very nice, kind of flowery. I have very dry skin so I'm using it at night before putting on moisturiser and although I've only been using it for a week, my skin already feels smooth and hydrated.

PACKAGING

25ml of organic oil comes in a simple frosted glass bottle with a glass dropper and rubber top. For the price tag it comes with, the bottle feels very luxurious and high end.

VERDICT

If you haven't jumped the facial oil bandwagon yet, I would suggest you try this. Biggest plus is that it's 100% organic and pocket friendly. Originally it retailed for £9.99 at Boots but it's mostly on offer for £4.

JOUER SKINNY DIP - ULTRA FOIL SHIMMER SHADOWS – Review & Swatches

It all started when Jouer Cosmetics came out with their Skinny Dip lip topper. As the cult following grew, Jouer just released their limited edition "Skinny Dip" collection. The new line consists of stunning new shades of lip toppers, highlighters and an eyeshadow palette. Although I was more inclined to get the new highlighters, it was the eyeshadow palette that caught my eye! The insanely beautiful metallic eyeshadows in very universal tones make this palette so adaptable to all skin tones. Moreover, this particular palette is perfect to glam up your night outs or for the wedding makeup (especially if you're South Asian).

(Bottom to Top: Star Light, Bikini, Skinny Dip, Tan Lines, Magic Hour, Midnight Swim)

SHADES
The palette features 6 pigmented eyeshadows, each with intense glitter, shimmer and metallic foil finish.

·         Star Light - Cool toned, bright silver
·         Bikini - Warm toned, peachy beige
·         Skinny Dip - Warm toned, olive gold
·         Tan Lines - Warm toned, bronze gold
·         Magic Hour - Neural toned, taupe with teal/pink glitter
·         Midnight Swim - Warm toned, dark brown

FORMULA
The formula is long wearing, highly pigmented and crease resistant. The eyeshadows are smooth, easy to blend and quiet opaque. The glitter fallout is not too much and personally feel they work better with a damp brush, but that's a personal choice.

PACKAGING
Where do I begin! The packaging is so soooo stunning I couldn't take my eyes off it. The palette is packed in a reflective gold box with embossed lettering and glitter accents. The palette itself is made of the same gold reflective cardboard and it comes with a mirror inside.

VERDICT
This palette is full of bling factor so if you love intense shiny metallic eyeshadows, this one is great to add to your collection.

In the U.K. it's available at www.cultbeauty.com for £35. If you're in USA you can order yours from Jouer Cosmetics website or Beautylish.com

NYX DUO CHROMATIC ILLUMINATING POWDER – Review & Swatches

Non-traditional, colour shifting makeup is a big trend this year with many brands coming out with blushes, lip toppers and highlighters in different formulas. When NYX came out with their gorgeous Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powders as a part of their Spring '17 collection, I knew I had to have these babies.

I got three shades from the collection which attracted me the most. Lavender Steel, Twilight Tint and Snow Rose. They're so versatile, you can use them as eye shadows, lipstick toppers and of course as a highlight. They're perfect to create festival looks too!

L-R: Twilight Tint, Lavender Steel, Snow Rose

SHADES
There are 5 shades, each with a unique colour shift:

·         Twilight Tint - White Base with Blue Duo Chromatic Pearls.
·         Snow Rose - White Base with Pink & Lilac Duo Chromatic Pearls.
·         Lavender Steel - Soft Lavender with Pink & Lavender Duo Chromatic Pearls.
·         Crushed Bloom - Dusty Rose with Pink & Light Blue Duo Chromatic Pearls.
·         Synthetica - Pink base with gold duo Chromatic Pearls.

FORMULA
These are made with beautiful silky formula with no chunky glitter, rather they give an illuminating sheen to your skin. Since they're nicely pigmented, the highlight shows up easily on the skin without having to layer it up.

PACKAGING
The packaging is simple, black plastic compact with transparent top and latch closure. Each compact holds .21 oz product.

VERDICT
For £9 each, I absolutely love them and they can be great dupes for many high-end brands.

Available online at www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk, in-store at Boots and Selfridges&Co.
