HUDA BEAUTY - DESERT DUSK PALETTE REVIEW

After the major success of Huda Beauty's Rose Gold Palette, Huda Kattan and team came out with yet another exotic eye shadow palette, this time called Desert Dusk Palette. According to Huda, the shades in this palette were inspired by the striking beauty and charm of the Arabian Desert. The palette is a mix of warm toned colours, mostly rustic oranges and purples.

SHADE
The palette has 18 beautiful shades that include neutrals, rustic oranges and purples.

There are 8 matte shades, 6 pearl pressed shades, 3 duo chrome toppers and 1 pressed glitter. I've played with the palette and I'd say duo chrome shades are my favourite, they're insanely beautiful. Huda mentioned how she actually made the Twilight shade herself and it's so unique. The pearly metallic shades are very creamy and easily to use too, best way though is to use your fingers or a wet brush to get the right intensity. The only shadow I felt underwhelmed by is pressed glitter named Cosmo. Although it's a beautiful colour, I just think I would've preferred a black matte shadow instead to make this palette more versatile.

FORMULA
This palette has talc free shades that are packed with pigment. Most shades easy to build up as well as blend.

PACKAGING
When you bring out a new product into an extremely competitive beauty market, your products branding should be dead on alluring. The packaging of this palette is soooo attractive and mysterious, you can just keep staring at the reflective magical box. I love the fact that Huda actually listens to the feedback from her followers and this time the palette has a huge mirror inside and the palette itself seems to be sturdier.

VERDICT
Overall I feel this is a great addition to my collection, as the colours of this palette compliment my medium-tan skin tone exceptionally well. This is a warm toned palette and its aligned with current trends. For the price you pay, you get quality eye shadows.

Retailing for £56 in the U.K, it's available at www.cultbeauty.com, Selfridges and Harrods.

Here are a couple of looks I created with this palette...
